Author Topic:   that poor excuse for a football tournament
Nathe posted 1/27/04 10:33 PM
i would just like 2 point out the crappiness(is that a word shimon) of the 5 a side football tournament. this is definately one of the most important parts of the acedemic year for students of all shapes and sizes. unfortanetelly the elleged td didnt do 2 good a job of the task in hand. they hiped the price- which i understand as it is all going 2 tzedaka..... or is it. they also promised the winnnerd a photo of the winning team which me as amember of the white stripes did not get. the turnament in generall was poorly organised and was a waste of time. this is mamash a shame because the whole skl had been looking forward to this event since last year. the teachers -puils match wasnt even organised by the td we had 2 do it ourselves because they are all lazy bums. this in essence all boils down 2 GIDDY an co its all your fault and u should hang your heads in shame or better even run around the playground with no clothes on chanting we have sinned o lord we have sinned. the israel society rox and it would have made a much better tournament. GIDDY im disapointed u have let your year down and if i were u i would resigne.

Admittedtly the only fun thing about the tournament was the crowd control...but who cares i was part of it.
When looking at the football tournament from the tzedoka depts angle one would realise that they don't care about the football. Imagine a team consisting of the tzedoka dept. Robby in goal...stopping the ball by dancing crazily to jewish music. The great and holy Yisrael cohen doing something resembling football in defence, Shimon in Midfield using the rules of Geometry to direct the bal in the net along with giddy who dictates the midfield with ferocity. And then Masher upfront with the deadly bad leg.Not a bad team actually i retract that tact of the argument.
Yet the Tzedoka dept only want r money they don't care how well the football goes as long as they get away with it...gotit so stop complainng and put ur hand in ur pocket.

What a lie firstly the football tournament was a great success raising 810 pounds further more it went exactly according to schedule as pre planed before the tournament started we predicted the day of the final and got it righgt. i think this is a first for the tournament and shgould go in the guiness book of records for the tzedakah depatment to have run such an official tournament that unlike other years it finished on time. furthermore for the first year that i can remember we got certain games played on the moday in the gym another first this year. of course we wern't allowed any other days there due to atchison hosting gay activerties the rest of the week i've spotted the israel society in their a few times.
Aslo the prize would of included in the top golden winners prize packet a photo of the team. Ofcourse that would be when we dictate the prize as in any tournamentbut instead the winners most notably the right honourable gentleman who wrote this article wanted his cash prize and hence dictated his prize. I regret to say that it was one or the other and you took the greedier option which we cant be accountable for. in addition to that we asked an oustounding 8 teachers to play for us that term in the match; but they all gave rediculous excuses like i'm to frum and miraculously about 6 teachers had bad legs. most notably the maths and history/politics department found this deasease in their legs just that week. hence we put hocko as a freind of the Tzedokah department as head of runing the football match betwen teachers agianst pupils as he could persuade teachers to play and have acess to the staff room to get to the teachers. i would refrain from reading the origonal rubbish until a certain author gets his facts together.

I cannot agree more with our Glorious Leader's inspiring words. Might I suggest to the honourable Moderator that all future submissions from anyone with a name including the following:
"NAT", "NATH", "SOF", "SOFE", "NATHA", "SOFER", "NATHAN", "THAN" "NATHSOF" et cetera
should be examined VERY CAREFULLY before being granted a place on this message board, which is supposed to be a safe haven from the lunacy of the outside world and a tranquil oasis of calm in the desert of madness that is Hasmonean.
Also, I thought that obscene language was automatically deleted by some special program (probably called "CurseBuster 3000" or something like that). How did Mr. Sofer's diatribe fall through the sieve?
I shall be most disappointed if anything like this ever gets through again.
Yours,
Mr. Goldwater.

Shalom bochrim.
I am appauled to appear again and witness these atrocities.
Besides the terrible language that still remains on this board, (which people have already commented on so I will not elaborate) there is also an underlying atrocity present throughout a large proportion of the threads.
The Beis HaMikdosh was destroyed because of what? Sinas Chinom. I am afraid, boys, it has only got worse since then. We are told we are living in the ikvas hamoshiach! What will Moshiach do when he comes and sees Hasmo, and the 6th form - the boys who are supposed to be a light unto the school (which itself is supposed to be the beacon of yiddishkeit to the Anglo-Jewish world!), and from them - the frum boys of the 6th form...? and he sees what they have become! The "Tzedoko Department" - such a pleasure! bochrim making an organisation whos role is SIMPLY to collect money for tzedoko. and an "Israel Society" - with its namesake being the Home of HaShem. And what do these two institutions do all day? ARGUE! and complain, and cause sinas chinom, biting at each other's throats (in particular the Tzedoko Department, which seems to continually challenge the Israel Society for its inability to do anything. Admittedly, in this thread, it was the Israel Society who made the challenge, in an obscene way).
How can Moshiach come like this?
What are you going to do about this disgrace boys?
I plead with you to all take it upon yourself to stop and think before you speak, before you say a good, funny, witty cutting remark. Its not funny, HaShem doesnt have the same sense of humour as you. He writes in his Torah that these types of remark are an obomination and are ossur. To be mavayesh someone berabim is most definately ossur, and is a 'yehoreg va'al ya'avor'. Please think about what you say next time you say anything. Just quickly, skim the comment in your mind to see if it will cause hatred among our people.
Please.
Thank you, and please take what I have said into consideration.

1)The words used in the Gemoro are 'ikvasa demeshicha', not 'ikvas hamoshiach'.
2)The Gemoro over there says that in 'ikvasa demeshicha' the chutzpah will be greater than in any other generation. (Although, still,, there is a concept of 'yeridas hadoros' and nisyonos are relative to our madraiga, which is a reason why we can bring back moshiach even though the tanaim didn't, so we must still improve ourselves.
3)It is a machlokes whether 'hamalbish pnei chaveiro berabim' is 'yehoreig ve'al ya'avor'.

Yes well done.
How about you practice what you preach.
You know the Gemorro. Efsher you start taking into account what it says and stop finding excuses for not keeping HaShem's mitzvos on a technicality of an incorrect word on a message board? FACT: sinas chinom is ossur. FACT: there is too much of it. FACT: it is preventing the moshiach.
Live with it, or better yet, HELP STOP IT!
