What's the difference between RealAudio and Windows
Media?
All trailers are available to stream in the RealAudio and Windows Media formats.
The RealAudio versions are recommended for sound quality, however if RealPlayer
or RealOne Player is not installed on your computer you will still be able to
play the Windows Media version.
What software do I need for playing either format of the trailers?
You can download RealOne Player (for Windows 98/ME/2000/NT4/XP) or RealPlayer
8 (for Windows 95/Mac users) by clicking on the RealOne logo above.
You can download Windows Media Player 9 Series (for Windows 98SE/2000/ME/XP)
or Windows Media Player 6.4 (for Windows 95/NT4) by clicking on the Windows
Media logo above.
Why does my software (RealPlayer/Media Player) need to download an update?
If you attempt to play the RealAudio trailers in a player earlier than version
8, you may be prompted to update your software. This is automatic and free,
and must be done to play the RealAudio trailers.
If you attempt to play the Windows Media trailers in a player earlier than version
9 Series, the player may need to download the WMA 9 audio codecs. This is done
automatically and is free. It is required to play the Windows Media Audio trailers.
What's the difference between the Dialup and Broadband versions?
If you connect to the Internet with a normal 56k dialup modem, or if you have
ISDN (single or dual channel), play the Dialup version, and if you have broadband
(cable, ADSL, etc.) play the Broadband version. The broadband versions are CD-quality,
the dialup versions are lower quality, but you can only play the broadband trailers
properly if you have a broadband connection.
How do I download the trailers?
If you want to download the trailers on to your computer, you must download
the zipped MP3 versions above. After clicking on the link, you may be prompted
to save or open (run from current location) the file. Choose the Save option,
and then choose the directory on your computer where you want to save the file
to.
How do I play the downloaded trailer?
The download file is zipped. If you cannot open it, you need a program such
as WinZip (available free from www.winzip.com, or click on the logo above) to
unzip it. If you are using Windows XP you do not need WinZip as the ability
to decompress zip files is natively built in. Once unzipped, you can play the
MP3 trailer in any media player.
